Christina Lopez, cross industry solutions expert, author, speaker, and Boundless Connections CEO, will present at the DisruptHR Rochester event April 26 at Harro East Ballroom.
Lopez is one of 12 featured speakers. Her talk, “Cross Industry Ideation – Developing Talent,” will present a different perspective on training and retaining talent.
“Now is the perfect time to try new things,” said Lopez. “The world has completely changed, yet a lot of the views on employee relations and development haven’t caught up. I’ve been using my experience in the sports industry to develop a tech talent pipeline, and I’ll be giving a peak at what that looks like for training and retaining employees at the DisruptHR Rochester event.”
Lopez is an entrepreneur, author, facilitator and tech aficionado who is passionate about exploring what is possible and how to get there.
She is the founder and CEO of Boundless Connections, an initiative to bridge the digital divide, maintaining a tech literate workforce, and developing a tech talent pipeline. She currently operates two Boundless Connections Technology Centers with a pilot location in Olean, NY, and a flagship center at Sibley Square in Rochester, NY.
Lopez has co-authored a book which presents simple and practical ways to navigate gender stereotypes: Beyond the Divide: Men and Women Learning from Each Other.
With experience as a college-level women’s soccer head coach, and an internationally certified official in cycling and ski racing, Lopez has worked in corporate settings as a lead web programmer and she has taught college and workforce development courses focusing on leadership and implementing digital technology.
